Coffee, Pizza, Gelato, repeat….Milan! Photos mostly by Justine. We had less than 24 hours in Milan, yet we still managed some great stuff. After this list, We had delicious farm to table Italian foods at Taglio, drank the same Geisha coffee that won the cup of excellence, walked to the Duomo at the city’s center, saw some famous fashion designer, ate the best pizza of our lives at Pizzeria Coke, bought some sunglasses, watched a football (soccer) match at a bar, and ate gelato. Do you like run-on sentences? Subscribe to our blog for more! We wish we had more time in Milan, but oh well. Stay tuned for Prague, where I’m writing this blog post, in bed, listening to the rain.
Venice! We travel quick, often too quick to find enough wi-fi for a blog post. Importing, editing photos and posting them from the iPad has presented a number of issues too, Lightroom software being one of them, but we’re working past it and now we’re sitting in a beautiful cafe in Prague! After Venice, we took a train to Milan for a quick night, where we stayed in a 300-year old cheese factory and explored some of the city’s delicious food. Venice was amazing, felt like a time-warp, with amazing architecture and buildings, mediocre food, and decent espresso. Lots of tourist traps, but we had to see some of the wonderful sights. Our host, Piero, picked us up from the train station and we had a great discussion about architecture, the economy in Venice, and urban planning. Stay tuned for the next post, Milan! And maybe Prague…
Woo! Our first post. The pictures above are from our stay in Rome. We arrived after a long day of travel, a little lost and a lot hungry. We stayed in an apartment near Termini, a main bus and train hub, in the San Lorenzo neighborhood. We got some delicious pizza next door and went to bed. The next morning, after espresso and pastries,we rented a scooter and putted all around the city, stopping at the colosseum, numerous ruins, and got lost in many beautiful cobblestone neighborhoods. We woke up late today, drove around a bit, got more coffee, returned the scooter, and proceeded to walk around in a pleasant little bit of rain. We then walked to tiburtina station and are currently on a train to Venice!
Reposting some photos from our little Europe trip blog. We’re nearing completion of week 1 of 6. Here’s Rome.
